An excellent opportunity has arisen within a large NHS Trust in Surrey. My client is looking for an NHS experienced Estate Manager to join the team. The position will be for 6 months but will potentially lead to an ongoing or permanent position
The candidate must have an understanding and working knowledge on the below:
* Have an understanding of Statutory compliance within buildings relating to Asbestos Management, Control of Legionella, Electricity at Work act, Pressure Vessel Systems, Fire code, COSHH, Gas Safety (Corgi), CDM, NHS Healthcare Technical Memorandums and HBN Guidance Documents.
* Ensure all Potable Appliance Testing & Fixed Electrical Apparatus is current
* Ensure all Insurance inspections on Pressure Steam Vessels & Lifting equipment is current
* Ensure all Engineering Staff are adequately trained and qualified within required disciplines.
* Ensure all Statutory Preventative Maintenance is undertaken on regular basis
* Have an understanding of the Estates Information Systems (Planet FM) to ensure regular Planned Preventative Maintenance of Plant & Equipment is current. Provide statistical reports for data analysis.
* Ensure all work is reconciled for accountability purposes
* Update Information System when new Plant & Equipment are introduced
* Provide monthly reports in order to satisfy statutory obligations
* Undertake Minor/Capital work schemes and complete within budget allocation
* Submit relevant Capital bids for the Operational Managers for his/her consideration.
* Obtain competitive estimates when dealing with Suppliers & Contractors
* Undertake Project Management on medium sized projects
* Liaise with Contractors & Consultants throughout Minor/Capital Work Project
* Ensure all 'Permit to Work' schemes undertaken are complete
