Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of my clients, an NHS Trust in Surrey. They are looking to recruit to the role of Mechanical Estates Manager with a view to progressing to a higher level position within 2-3 years. As Mechanical Estates Manager, you will be responsible for managing a small team of estates staff and tradesmen. You should have a HVAC or building services background and be qualified to at least HNC level. NHS experience would be advantageous, but is not essential as specialist training will be given.
- Manage and organise the effective provision of day to day maintenance, planned preventive maintenance and programmed maintenance
- Identify maintenance needs and prepare programmes of work
- Continuously monitor budgets and control costs to ensure that all works are completed to agreed time limits and within financial targets
- Carry out regular inspections and testing of buildings and engineering plant
- To have special responsibility for mechanical systems such as HVAC, medical gases and domestic water supplies
- Other duties relevant to the role
