Home National Council National Officers Adrian Eggleton

Chair Elect

Adrian Eggleton is currently the National Chair Elect of HefmA having served as an active South West Branch Member and National Council Representative since 2007, prior to taking up his current office.

Adrian has worked in the field of healthcare since 1994, initially as a Research Academic at the Estate Strategy Research Unit, Cardiff University, where he studied hospital design and configuration; undertook a 2 year study for the Welsh Blood Service on motivation to donate and on a pan European study on MRI and CT Scanner provision and utilisation. On a broader agenda he was part of a team looking at the spatial configuration of the built environment - which had ramifications for a range of design disciplines including urban environments, healthcare, education and galleries.

He went on to join the NHS in 1999, initially as a researcher on the Action on Cataracts Programme, before taking up a role in Capital and Service Planning in 2000, becoming Associate Director of Planning for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHSFT. This was largely a strategic role; leading the service planning and estate strategy for a number of significant countywide service reorganisations.  Adrian took up his current role as Head of Property Management at 2gether NHS Foundation Trust in January 2008. This role encompasses the management of Hard and Soft FM functions for Mental Health and Social Care in Gloucestershire. Recently he has assisted the Department of Health in review of Sustainability Policy and Design Policy.

Adrian is an Architect and member of the RIBA. He is also a qualified Project Manager and Social Scientist.
